250 jobs created at DEZ based company Veritas Technologies
Tech company Veritas is to create 250 new jobs by 2019 following the opening of a multimillion research and development centre in the Dublin Enterprise Zone (DEZ).
The new centre in the DEZ was officially opened by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar this morning. The firm, which deals in multi-cloud data management, will be working closely with IDA Ireland to fill positions. The recruitment drive focuses on development roles from new graduates to senior-level executives with 130 of the new positions planned to be filled within the next year.
At the opening today Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said "The Government is prioritising research and development, innovation and enterprise, to ensure companies like Veritas can grow their operations here. Ireland has developed a very strong reputation as being a hub for cloud-based technology companies and the latest jobs announcement confirms that this sector of the economy is continuing to grow strongly and contribute to our jobs recovery.”
IDA Ireland CEO, Martin Shanahan, welcomed the announcement saying “Veritas joins a prominent list of leading companies creating a foundation in the city and reflects our commitment to innovation in Ireland”
Veritas will also focus on creating close links with universities across Ireland and intends to launch an internship graduate programme in 2018.
