WOW Air announces cheap flights from Ireland to the US

Icelandic budget carrier WOW air has announced flights from Dublin to Detroit, St Louis, Cleveland and Cincinnati for 2018.

From April 2018 Irish customers will be able to fly from Dublin Airport to Detroit, St. Louis, Cleveland and Cincinnati, thanks to a new service to be introduced by WOW Airlines, with all routes operating up to four times a week.

Currently the airline flies Irish passengers to 14 North American locations, including New York, Boston, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Miami and LA.

The routes announced today will open up America's Midwest region across several states, putting a host of new cities on the radar of Irish travellers.

Dublin Airport is 15 minutes by car from the Dublin Enterprise Zone and has direct flights to more than 185 destinations in 41 countries operated by a total of 47 airlines.

More than 16.9 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport in the first seven months of the year, representing a 6% increase on the same period last year.

Almost 980,000 additional passengers have been welcomed at Dublin Airport in the first seven months of the year.
