Leading US Pharma company Mallinckrodt to create 45 high-skilled jobs in the Dublin Enterprise Zone.

The jobs will be in a range of areas including product design, software development and electro-mechanical engineering. Mallinckrodt, which has been in Ireland for almost 25 years, makes specialised medical devices and therapies. The opening of the new research and development (R&D) facility brings Mallinckrodt’s total investment at its Dublin Enterprise Zone location to €95 million. The latest project is being supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

Deputy Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Eithne Loftus, welcomed the partnership between Mallinckrodt and Fingal County Council that helped bring the facilities to the College Business and Technology Park in the Dublin Enterprise Zone in less than two years.

“Fingal is seeing considerable investment in R&D and technology from a variety of Irish and international companies,” she said.

Mark Trudeau, the company's president and CEO, said that Mallinckrodt has had a significant manufacturing and business presence in Ireland for almost a quarter of a century.
