MSD to create 350 jobs in Swords
US Global healthcare leader MSD have announced that they will create 350 new jobs in their new biotech facility in Swords
Planning is currently underway for the new plant located in Swords, north county Dublin. The new facility will be built on the site of its former women's healthcare product business. It will produce biologics-based medicines for the global market.
MSD said the decision to locate the new facility in Ireland was testament to the talent of its Irish employees and that it also reinforced the company's commitment to Ireland. MSD currently employs approximately 1800 people across its four Irish sites, in the areas of manufacturing, R&D, engineering and biochemistry.
MSD expect the new plant in Swords to be operational by 2021, with a recruitment drive currently underway.
